Garden Walk

It’s a lovely thing, to walk a garden. It’s calming and rejuvenating. It can focus the thoughts and center the spirit. It can help with perspective; a quiet garden walk and you may find that huge problem you’re facing isn’t unmanageable after all. It doesn’t matter whether the garden is a modest suburban backyard, or spectacular formal affair surrounding a chateau, villa or castle. They all offer potential healing and answers. It’s such a curative pastime, to walk a garden, that I’m quite certain we are meant to do it. The garden glimpse in this image is of the former, spectacular, type. If one is going to build an impressive villa, one must also fashion a jaw-dropping garden. Such is the case at this famous Lake Como villa. Location: Villa d’Este, Cernobbio, Italy
