The Red Door

Tibetans are not afraid of colour! You might think that this fabulous red door announces the portal to an ornate, multi story, structure. You’d be wrong. It’s a modest little house. A cottage by Western standards. Tibetans may not have wealth, nor even control of their own country, but they have a deep religious faith and a love of colour and ornamentation. You’ll see it everywhere you go. Location: Samye, Tibet
